Jones honors Life Insurance Awareness Month

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Rick Jones welcomed National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) officials and members to the Michigan Capitol on Thursday.

“Life insurance is critically important to protecting ourselves and the people we love, yet many people do not have it,” said Jones, R-Grand Ledge. “An unexpected loss of a family member can have a tremendous impact on the entire family, and life insurance is a way to provide them with financial relief and security in the event of a tragic loss of a loved one.”

Jones presented Kay Harless, Diana Pringle and Jon Solitro of NAIFA with a copy of Senate Resolution 86, which commemorates September 2015 as Life Insurance Awareness Month.

“Life Insurance Awareness Month is a time to remind Michigan residents of the peace of mind life insurance can offer and encourage everyone to take action to help ensure a financially secure future for their families,” Jones said.
